Church Calendars Archive

We have a large archive of church calendars (also known as church bulletins or worship folders) dating back to 1910. It is our hope to have digital files collected here for you to view.

Here is the oldest church calendar we have on file. This was handed out on the Sunday morning of November 6, 1910 when FBC was located at Dunsmuir and Hamilton, and inside you will find the typical order of a morning and evening service from this era, a schedule of weekly events, and a warm welcome to the new church organist and choir-leader.

The image of our church on the front of this calendar and is actually a concept drawing of the Nelson and Burrard building which was in the middle of its construction at this point. Inside the calendar, you will find a general breakdown of the Building Fund from the church treasurer. The estimated costs of the new building, including organ and furnishings is $105,000.00! The new First Baptist Church at Nelson and Burrard would officially open on June 11, 1911.
