first time with us?

On your first visit,  please check in at the Welcome Desk in the lobby on your right hand side when you walk into the St Andrews church building. There will be a table and a friendly volunteer to welcome and assist you with checking in. If you’re having trouble finding it you may want to ask one of our friendly ushers, and they'll direct you to the desk.

Our welcome desk team will make sure to collect your information and provide you and your child with a name tag. After that, we will give you a brief orientation of the space and flow of our program, as well as, introduce your child to one of our awesome leaders.

There is a nursery space available for children ages1-2 and parents to use that is located in the sanctuary.

During the service, we will be offering a space for children, preteens and youth to connect and learn together. We will have programming for children ages 3 through 18.

We want to make sure that you have plenty of time, so we recommend arriving five to ten minutes before the service.

HOW DOES CHECK-IN WORK?

All Children and Preteens are required to check in prior to participating in the NewGen ministry. The Welcome Desk is located in the (lobby). Children need to be dropped off and picked up by their parents. For security reasons, we request that you, the parent, not leave the church while your child is in our care.

When checking in your child at the welcome desk, they will receive their name tag along with a pickup tag for you as a parent that you will use at check-out to pick up your child up. We may also ask for your cell phone number so that we can contact you in case you are needed during the service.

Check-in begins 10 minutes before the start of each service. Prior to that, our teams are preparing for your children to arrive.

When checking-out your child, you as a parent are expected to come and pick up your child in person at the front of the sanctuary. For safety reasons, we ask that you bring the claim ticket with you in order to pick them up.

We are encouraging all of our children, preteens, youth and families to worship together in the sanctuary until we share a Prayer of Blessing over them. After this blessing, we will invite the NewGen to leave the sanctuary for their times together.

During their time together, each group will have the opportunity to connect with each other, play games, create and learn about God’s Big Story.
