Do I have to be religious to use these services?
No. Our clients come from a wide range of religious & cultural backgrounds. But the counsellors at VCCC are Christians and can incorporate Christian spirituality into your counselling sessions, if you desire.
What hours are you open?
Appointments can be made in the evening as well as during regular business hours.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
Only if it's required by your Extended Health Care Plan or Employee Assistance Program to obtain coverage.
How can I make an appointment?
Simply call the office at (604) 688-3945. We will schedule an appointment for you as soon as possible. Then, an ongoing therapist will work with you throughout the course of counselling.
What if I want to refer someone who doesn't speak English?
Counselling at VCCC can be conducted in English, German, Cantonese and Mandarin. Besides being fluent in these languages, our counsellors are also aware of issues facing people of different cultures.
How can I help someone I care about start counselling?
Talking with them is a good first step. Try giving them our brochure (available at our church front desk or at the info table on Sundays) or point them to this page on our website, and explain that you're concerned about them. They can call our office during business hours to ask more questions or to set up an appointment.
